Hammers & United support Atherstone Town as Mascots

Haunchwood Hammers and United took to the field at Sheepy Road to support Atherstone Town as Mascots last week. The boys did the trick; with the Adders running out 2-0 winners against a solid looking Wolverhampton Casuals.

On top of being Mascots the boys also got to take penalties at half time despite the rain and chose man of the match! Well done to Lewis Collins (who you can just about see in the image) being presented his award by the lads after his two goals settled the game.

Haunchwood Coach Dave Parkes comments

"A massive thank you to everyone at Atherstone Town Community Football Club from all the players coaches & families connected to Haunchwood Hammers & Haunchwood United.
The boys had an amazing afternoon & loved every single minute of it.
The tour of the dressing room & the penalty shootout were absolutely brilliant as well as the 2-0 win for the Adders.
The boys are already asking when they can do it again.
